This study has concluded and is no longer open for recruitment.
This study investigates different types of learning to pictures, sounds, and sensations. You will first be asked to complete a brief interview that you will later receive feedback and to fill out some questionnaires about thoughts and feelings you may have had. You will then have your heart rate, breathing rate, and skin conductance (sweat on your hands) measured while you watch a series of pictures on a screen, hear a series of sounds over headphones, and receive stimulations to your bicep muscle.
Eligibility Criteria
To participate in the study you must be within a certain range on a questionnaire that you will fill out online in order to determine your eligibility. Participants must also be at least 18 years old, fluent in English, and not currently pregnant or experiencing major problems with cognitive, cardiovascular, hearing, or respiratory functioning.
Screening Procedures
Interested participants should email their contact information (i.e., name, phone number, best times to call) to sociallearningstudy@gmail.comParticipants will then be emailed a link to complete some screening questions. If eligible, you will be informed and a research assistant will contact you to schedule a session.
